In this final training we’ll be learning about the contribution that diversity makes to business – and that which business makes to diversity.
We will be speaking to consultants and strategists who’ve worked toward creating a single, trans-European entity out of heterogeneous factions in the aerospace industry. We’ll also investigate diversity as a precondition of innovation.
We will experience first-hand some of the tools that helped teams and whole organisations get aligned and work towards common goals. These tools are derived from Systems Theory, Process Work, Family Systems Therapy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Quantum Physics & Co-Active Coaching. What will the diverse components of THE PROMISED LAND team make of them? Will they prove useful for our project?
As usual we’ll be studying the local immigration system. What are the strengths and weaknesses in the way France handles its migrant and refugee population and how can we learn from them ? We’ll be hearing from experts at Médicins sans Frontières and AFPA (national organisation tasked with retraining those who have been given asylum) as well as those who arrived in France as refugees. What has the journey been like for them? What are their experiences and recommendations ?
It’s going to be a busy week and it will be very difficult to pack everything in as usual.. We’ll walk and re-walk the city centre, get a taste of local colour and cuisine (tapas, couscous, traditional French). Toulouse may be known as ‘The Pink City’ all over, but inside, she’s complex, interesting and diverse, just like her people.
